About the firm – quality, reliability, flexibility, low prices

TOM-FERR  Zrt. Is the firm with extensive international relations, dealing with sales of metallurgical products, mainly steel pipes, hollow sections and screwed fittings.

Since 1994, the company is integral part of the Central European market, at the beginning closely related to the business activity of Csepel Pipe Plant with the tradition lasting for 80 years. Since its establishment, it demonstrates continuous, dynamic development resulting in 25% share in the Hungarian pipe market.

Our company sells annually more than 20,000 tons of pipes, both on the domestic market and abroad, to more than 500 business partners. Supranational large-size companies, wholesales and retails, small-size and-medium size companies are among them. Manufacturing companies purchase directly 40-45% of products. Thanks to our flexible purchasing and sales policy, with almost 6,000 tons of stocks, in addition to tube products of commercial quality, we are also able to satisfy the individual requirements. In this way we have achieved satisfaction and trust of our existing partners.

The Sales Department for Individual and Special Tubes of our company has been the holder of European Certificate Rheinland – TÜV since 1997, certificate for operation according to the system  ISO 9002-1994, and since 2003, the Quality Assurance System ISO 9001:2000 has been expanded to the all activities.

Since October 2003, our company has started the important investment programme. The first phase of the programme includes German software ABAS intended for comprehensive control of the company that was tailored and that allows to support the whole administrative of the company with guarantee of high accuracy and speed.

The increasingly demanding requirements of the automotive industry and the furniture industry required to acquire cutting machines such as Italian ADIGE and very precise cutting machine of Germany manufacture of the RSA type. This allowed cutting pipes, rounds, hollow sections with accuracy of tenths of millimetre, their trimming and in case of the request, their washing.  

At the end of the year 2005, the shelf system of German manufacture was established with the integrated travelling crane with semi-automatic operation providing effective storage of prices and special pipes with the storage capacity of 1,500 tons.

More than electromagnetic cranes and digital measuring system were installed in our halls simultaneously with the investment, which allows fast and precise movement and preparation of the material.

Reliable operation without downtimes requires continuous maintenance. In this relation we are trying to increase our financial sources that will be used for maintenance each year.

Services and counselling at the high level are currently provided by the qualified team consisting of 60 members. Our workers with knowledge of foreign languages are in addition to the Hungarian language available to out partners speaking English, German, Slovak, Czech, Russian, Romanian, Serbian and Italian languages.
In order to fully satisfy our customers, our company also provides the transportation activity. Our logistic services – using our partners in the area of transportation under extraordinary advantageous conditions – will ensure that the goods will be delivered to you in timely manner.
